She's alllliiiiiiiiiive!
Yes. I'm very sorry to my watchers and recent commenters for a lack of activity these past few weeks. School and vacation have limited my available Internet time, and I was simply unable to stop by dA and tie up my loose ends. So here I am, two-three weeks later, apologizing for the extremely late thank you notes and replies.
On the plus side, I just came back from the Coastal Bend area of Texas and I have some great pictures I'd love to share.
Thanks, everyone, for your paitence. I'm very glad to be back on dA.

In Texas, public and public charter high school extracurriculars are headed by UIL. For sports, academics, and theater (One-Act Play), there are five conferences - 1A through 5A, categorized by the size of the school - and five possible levels of competition: Zone, District, Area, Regionals, and State. Competition is set up tournament style - for UIL One-Act Play, two schools out of the four to eight competing are chosen to go onto the next level of competition.
A few weeks ago, I posted that 'Alice in Wonderland: The Manhattan Project Version' was doing it's first two public performances. Those days have passed, as have two levels of compet
LOOK WHO'S BACK FROM THE DEAD
So it's been several months since I've been on DeviantArt. Between Dual Credit (college courses), regular school work, and One-Act (Texas's version of competitive theater), I've been completely swamped with work.
So, a few quick updates:
- Our school's theater is performing 'Alice in Wonderland: The Manhatten Project Version' for competition in two weeks. This Friday and Saturday, we're going to be performing for the public....AH. I've been on Props and Set since December (when we started working) and it has been crazy. Everything is finally coming together, though, and it is AMAZING.
- I am now addicted to One Direction. I love them, so m

You have been warned.
So yeah. You know that moment when someone close to you is supposed to be supportive of you but is instead a vindictive bee who's obsessed with shaping you into a super-ambitious drone and shoots you down everytime you want to do something that may be more about having fun and enjoying your youth than it is about being the best at everything and focusing only on my career, which they don't even really support anyway because they wanted you to be a highly-specialized doctor instead of a humble but happy veterinarian? Yeah, that's what my night's been.
I suppose I could go on and on about how I'M SO MISUNDERSTOOD and MY
Of Inside Jokes and Impossible Challenges
An old friend of mine and I were IMing this evening and tried to figure out who had the most inside jokes. I won by a clear majority and counting, and, since I need to update this thing anyway, I thought I'd post my current list with some of the more interesting (and not confidental) stories behind them. Sorted by the people in on the joke. Prepare yourselves for the longest journal I've ever written.

The Birthday Song / Pants Song - When I played softball a few years ago, Jasmine, Peyton, Elysa, and I would taunt the opponent team with a song that was specifically designed to make no sense and to distract the other team with it'
